The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.
We are seeking a Researcher in Evidence Synthesis to coordinate the identification of high priority research topics that relate to the determinants, long-term drivers and distribution of the demand for health and social care, how determinants evolve over time and treatment and care gaps by geographical area in England.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating a priority setting exercise with stakeholders by working with research leads, systematically scope the evidence for priority research topics, draft, edit and comment on manuscripts, pathfinder documents and other outputs arising from this research, and work with a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) advisor to establish a diverse Patient and Public Engagement panel that will advise on research priority topics, the conduct of the research, interpretation of findings and dissemination and present papers at conferences or public meetings.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved at the outset of a new research group funded by the Health Foundation. To be considered, you will hold a degree in an MSc in a health related subject, experience of priority setting to identify high priority review topics, experience of conducting and publishing systematic reviews, experience of reviewing the evidence using techniques such as evidence maps, Written and spoken communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) for 2 years.
