We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Research Fellow to develop and lead research of international standard in the area of colorectal surgical research. The successful candidate will establish an independent research profile and distinctive research programme, delivering internationally recognised research outputs, and securing substantial external funding, including as Principal Investigator.
The post holder will also contribute as appropriate to School/College/University knowledge exchange and management/administrative activities and make a substantial and positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School and College through leading and contributing to research of international standard, high quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and providing academic leadership and management within the School.
In addition, the post holder will contribute to clinical care commensurate with the above and contributing to service developments in Surgery (located at Glasgow Royal Infirmary), under an NHS honorary contract at Consultant level. It is anticipated that the post will be 50:50 academic/clinical responsibility.
This position is full time and fixed term until 31 March 2025.
