The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual, who will be involved in the organisation and delivery of our midwifery programmes. 

We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience in higher education and is interested in joining the midwifery programme team for a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. 

The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of the professional and academic requirements of midwifery education programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

Current registration as a midwife with the NMC is essential. A teaching qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) is desirable.

The Faculty has four education centres: University Centre Shrewsbury; Warrington Campus; Marriss House, Birkenhead, and Wheeler Building, Chester. The post is based at Wheeler Building. There is a requirement as part of the role to provide student support, whilst on their practice placements and therefore travel is required.
