The Institute for Infection and Immunity, has a vacancy for a Reader in Infectious Diseases to develop a programme of clinical research on the chemotherapy of TB and HIV-associated infections (particularly PCP) to complement and develop existing areas of strength in the institute, and to contribute to delivery of the Clinical Infection service at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with an initial split of 6 academic and 4 clinical PAs.

The work could involve the conduct of multinational clinical studies, and related laboratory work, for example on diagnostics, immune responses and host directed therapies, and optimising drug pharmacology.

Candidates must be clinically qualified and have full GMC registration by the time they take up the clinical component of the job.  

Salary will be on the Consultant scale, depending on experience.
