We are looking for tutors to delivery study skills sessions to individual and groups of students with specific learning differences.

The Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity to join an expanding team of tutors whose key role is to provide specialist study skills support, advice and guidance to students with a range of specific learning differences and neurodiverse conditions that impact their studies,

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Educated to degree level in a professional relevant subject (e.g. Health, Inclusive Education, Neurodiversity)
  • Must hold SpLD qualification (preferably with Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) accreditation)
  • Substantial knowledge of issues affecting students with neurodiverse conditions including AD(H)D, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia undertaking studies in higher education. 
  • Working knowledge of equality legislation and good practice including GDPR 
  • IT literate
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Organisational skills: ability to manage priorities, workload and deliver case notes and funding body paperwork timeously.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional within a busy and, at times, challenging environment
