The Department of Life Sciences is one of the largest in the University attracting large numbers of students on a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. At undergraduate level, we offer degrees in Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences), Human Physiology and Human Biosciences. There are taught postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Science, Clinical Sciences and Human Physiology. The Department resides within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and benefits from spacious, modern and well-equipped teaching and research facilities having benefitted from significant recent and on-going investment.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to providing an excellent learning experience for our students in the Department of Life Sciences to this fixed term post until 30th June 2024. You will have an academic, research and/or clinical background, with expertise and experience in life sciences.

You will:

  • have a first and higher degree in a relevant discipline
  • be confident in teaching life science subjects at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
